Hi, I'm Juliana, and I love to design! I graduated in August 2013 from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a minor in editing and a BA in Linguistics.
I adore Adobe InDesign! (Seriously, I almost cried when I first installed it on my computer.) Through the editing minor and my design jobs, I have learned about design principles and techniques and how to implement them to enhance the written message. I have been a design TA (introductory print publishing), freelance designer (designed a private family history book and a pianist's biography cover), designer and editor in chief (re-designed Principles of Finance 6th ed., a college-level finance textbook), assistant art director (Stowaway Magazine, a student-run travel magazine at BYU with a global young-adult audience), and lead graphic designer (Religious Studies Center (RSC), a publisher for religion professors at BYU with a global religious audience). I am constantly expanding my design skills, and looking for opportunities to use them. Between my design and editing opportunities, I have experienced the entire publishing process—and love it! Take a look at my editing and design samples, and let me know what you think. I'd love to work on your next project! Juliana Cox |
